The Chartock FamilyDr. Chartock is married to Dr. Roselle Kline Chartock, an artist and retired professor of education at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams who has edited a widely acclaimed book on the Holocaust. The Chartocks live in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and have two children, Jonas and Sarah.

Alan and Roselle's son, Jonas Chartock, runs a not for profit called "Leading Educators" based in New Orleans. The Albany Times Union recently sat down with Jonas to talk about the importance of charter schools and the purpose of the SUNY institute.

Sarah ChartockSarah Chartock is an Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at The College of New Jersey, and lives in New York City.
